Information processed
When a transfer is created, the service processes the sender email address if supplied, recipient email addresses, an optional sender name, subject and message, the selected expiry date, and whether password protection is enabled. It also stores file names, file types, sizes, transfer identifiers, timestamps, and download counts.
Files you choose to upload are stored to make them available to the people who have your transfer link. If you set a password, the service stores a password hash so it can verify the password without retaining the plain text password.
How information is used
Transfer details are used to upload, store, deliver, protect, and expire your files; send transfer or expiry emails when email delivery is configured; and operate and troubleshoot the service. The service does not require a user account.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to collect usage and behavior data about the web app, including page views. Analytics is provided by Google. See the Google Privacy Policy for details about data handling.
Storage and service providers
Transfer records are stored in the service database. File contents are stored with the configured object storage provider. If email delivery is enabled, recipient email addresses and the transfer link are processed by the configured email provider. The operator of this deployment controls these providers and their locations.
Links, passwords, and expiry
Anyone who has a transfer link can attempt to access that transfer. A password adds an additional access check. Keep links and passwords private. Transfers are removed when they expire or when the operator deletes them, subject to operational backups and provider retention.
Retention and your choices
The sender selects a transfer expiry when available. You can ask the operator who provided this deployment to delete a transfer or address a privacy request. Recipients can ask the sender to remove their email address from future communications.
Children and sensitive information
Quick Share is a general file transfer service, not a place to store highly sensitive information. Do not upload information unless you are authorized to share it and understand who can access the link.
